What is Life Mentoring with Wade?
One hour, one-on-one, online video, life mentoring sessions.
I will guide and support you to identify particular area/s of your life that you feel are stagnant, problematic, or in crisis and/or life goals you desire to achieve.
Together, we'll build a three-dimensional life-picture, which will be attained through exploring all the major areas of your life, such as your health, relationships, creativity, and work, as each component plays a vital role in the whole.
I believe that physical, mental and emotional health is an essential foundation to stabilize and then build upon. If you are open to it, I will help you begin, stabilize or enhance your meditation practice, exercise and nutrition habits as well as mental and emotional well-being practices.
Through a variety of healing modalities, including deep listening, supportive feedback, empowering conversation, guided meditation, somatic awareness, and independent daily practices, weʻll work on healing any aspect that requires it, then identify actionable steps for you to take in order to move towards revitalizing the problematic area/s, move towards your goals and in the process, rejuvenate every aspect of your life.
I am also in the midst of a three year intensive training to become a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner which influences my Life Mentoring perspective and approach tremendously.
Somatic Experiencing (SE™) aims to resolve symptoms of stress, shock, and trauma that accumulate in our bodies. When we are stuck in patterns of fight, flight, or freeze, SE helps us release, recover, and become more resilient. It is a body-oriented therapeutic model applied in multiple professions and professional settings—psychotherapy, medicine, coaching, teaching, and physical therapy—for healing trauma and other stress disorders. It is based on a multidisciplinary intersection of physiology, psychology, ethology, biology, neuroscience, indigenous healing practices, and medical biophysics and has been clinically applied for more than four decades.
I love working with people from all walks of life: no matter the history, present or desired future.
Due to my personal experience with and healing from child abuse, along with my facilitating of support groups for child abuse survivors for many years, one of my specialties lies in helping guide child abuse survivors toward beginning and/or continuing their own healing.
