Guiding Teen Dancers from Pressure to Purpose

Is Your Teen Dancer Struggling with Stress, Pressure, or Self-Doubt?

Dance should be a source of joy and self-expression—but too often, teens get weighed down by comparison, competition, and the constant pressure to be perfect. These struggles don’t just affect their dancing, but their mental health, motivation, and self-worth.

That’s why I created Teen Dancer Life Mentoring—personalized one-on-one sessions designed for dancers ages 13–19 to build resilience, confidence, and clarity on and off the dance floor.

In these private sessions, your teen will learn tools to:

  • Release stress and anxiety → so they feel calmer and more focused

  • Build confidence and self-belief → so they stop comparing and start thriving

  • Develop healthier self-talk → so they feel stronger from the inside out

  • Clarify motivation and goals → so they stay grounded in purpose, not pressure

  • Navigate social media wisely → so they don’t lose themselves to likes and lies

  • Strengthen relationships → so they connect more openly with parents, peers, and teachers

Each session includes tailored guidance, real conversation, and practical practices your teen can use right away.

Why This Works

I know the pressures teen dancers face—because I lived them.

I began performing at age five, choreographing for global pop stars by 16, starring in my own MTV dance show by 20, and experiencing both the heights of fame and the depths of anxiety, depression, and trauma. Through my healing journey, I rebuilt my relationship with dance, with myself, and with life.

Today, as a father, Life Mentor, and trauma-informed guide, I help dancers develop the inner strength and resilience I wish I had at their age. This isn’t just about support—it’s about transformation.

A Note to Parents

Your teen’s emotional and physical safety is my highest priority.

To ensure that:

  • Every teen and parent meets with me on Zoom before we begin

  • Parents have access to my recent background check

  • Clear boundaries and age-appropriate topics are maintained

  • Sessions are recorded for accountability (never shared)

This is a partnership of care. I’m here to support your teen—and you—through this journey.

About your guide, Wade Robson:

Wade Robson is an Emmy-winning choreographer, director, composer, and Life Mentor. He began dancing professionally at age five and, by eighteen, had choreographed for Britney Spears, *NSYNC, Usher, and more. Though his career soared, Wade was silently battling the weight of childhood trauma and an identity shaped by pressure. A full emotional collapse led him to begin a deep healing journey in 2012, transforming his relationship to dance, self-worth, and success.

Now living in Hawai‘i with his wife and son, Wade works with clients around the world through his private Life Mentoring practice. Drawing from over 35 years in the dance industry, his own lived experience, and advanced training in trauma healing (as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner-in-training), Wade offers grounded, compassionate guidance for navigating life’s emotional complexities.

Through his workshops, seminars, and mentoring sessions, Wade helps others reclaim clarity, presence, and inner strength—sharing not just tools, but hard-won wisdom earned through a journey of resilience and transformation.
